Here in Business Management and Entrepreneurship, we are dedicated to helping students acquire skills and knowledge that are needed in the business world and business-related occupations. During their time in the program, students will write a business plan, meet with local business owners and spend time in work placements for career exploration.
Through our Simulated Workplace program students design and create t-Shirts, hats and other specialty items as their business concept. Management roles are available giving students the opportunity to function in a true work environment.
Students will be given opportunities to become proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Real world learning opportunities are provided as well as simulations and project-based learning activities. They will also be given opportunities to become certified in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
These certifications are nationally recognized which allow for college credit at some West Virginia colleges and universities as well as a competitive edge over other candidates in the workforce.
